Prism Health

Most overdose deaths happen with other people nearby, people who wanted to help and didn't know how. And most questions about sex and testing never get asked, because people fear the lecture more than the answer. We teach the ten-minute skills and give the honest answers. That's it. That's the clinic.

A Day at the Clinic

What a visit can look like

A grandmother stops by our tent at a summer health fair. She's been worried about someone in her family for months, but she's never said it out loud before. She asks quietly what she could do if the worst happened.

Ten minutes later she knows how to recognize an overdose, how to use Narcan, and when to call 911, and she leaves with a kit in her purse. Nobody lectured her. Nobody asked why. She came with a worry and left with a plan.

Common Questions

What people ask us.

What is harm reduction?

Practical steps that keep people safer and healthier, starting from where they are today. Knowing how to stop an overdose, how to protect yourself and a partner, and where to get tested. Small lessons that save lives.

Is the Narcan training really free?

Yes. The training is free, takes about ten minutes, and you leave knowing how to respond to an opioid overdose.

Do I need ID or insurance?

No. No ID, no insurance, no paperwork. Just come to any of our events.

Will anyone judge me for asking?

No. Our team answers every question the same way: plainly, privately, and without judgment. Asking is the healthiest thing you can do.

Where can I get tested for HIV or STIs?

Free testing is available at many community sites across Illinois, and our team will point you to the nearest one. Some screenings are also available at our adult and women's health clinics.

Can you come talk to my church or community group?

Yes. Our educators run sessions for churches, community organizations, and groups of any size. Start a conversation on our Partner With Us page.
