When Illinois needed us.
The hardest days showed what community healthcare can do.
The first weeks
During the pandemic, everything closed. Prism went the other way. Our teams went out. We set up testing and vaccination sites in school gyms, church parking lots, and drive-thru lanes, wherever people could reach us.
Scaling up
At Chicago's United Center, Prism managed the high-volume COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru as a contractor for FEMA and the Chicago Department of Public Health. Across the state, our teams brought outbreak control, vaccination, and clinical support to more than 200 long-term care facilities for the Illinois Department of Public Health.

What stayed
The Prism Health system's laboratory arm was founded at the Harvard Innovation Lab to serve the public during the pandemic.
